Prague National Museum – Historical Building
The historic building underwent a major reconstruction and welcomed its first visitors on October 28th, 2018 - the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak Republic. We are proud we were given the opportunity to take part in the reconstruction of one of the most important cultural buildings in the Czech Republic which has preserved the historical as well as contemporary national heritage for future generations for over 200 years. For the historic building of the National Museum, we produced air-handling units which will ensure air-conditioning in the exhibition halls, library, depositaries and exhibition treasury as well as ventilation of the atriums and back offices. Our delivery included 31 air-handling units with a total air output of 103,000 m3/h. Each unit was specially designed for different areas with strict requirements for cleanliness, temperature and humidity. The units for the depositaries were specially designed using adsorption dehumidification and humidification using a resistance humidifier. They are also fitted with special filters which are able to trap aldehydes and organic acids to ensure ideal conditions for exhibition items and their preservation for future generations. As a base, AeroMaster XP air-handling units were used, often specially adapted for the museum’s needs, as well as flat (overhead) AeroMaster FP units and Vento assemblies. Compact CAKE units with their compact dimensions provided an ideal solution for the confined conditions in the air-handling plant.
